The same network whose reporter was caught stalking the Kyle Rittenhouse case jury yesterday, behaved in the same abominable fashion today after the jury didn’t rule the way they wanted them to.
In the hours after the jury found Rittenhouse not guilty on Friday of all the criminal charges the prosecution leveled against him, MSNBC threw a pity party of sorts by inviting radical activists on-air to disparage the jury, judge and Rittenhouse as evidence the country was determined to protect “white supremacist” “terrorists.”
During the 3:00 p.m. Eastern hour with host Hallie Jackson, she brought in Black Lives Matter activist and MSNBC analyst Brittany Packnett Cunningham, who scoffed at Rittenhouse’s tears as the verdict was being read, and called him a white vigilante terrorist [click “expand”]:
[A]It shouldn’t, but it should not be the main topic of conversation. We are in a position where trying to figure out if someone is legitimately crying is distracting from the terror that we experience all over this country. It is my belief that picking up an AR-15 to ride to Kenosha, and then standing there to defend property is a way to terrorize people into following a social order.
The conclusion that we reached from this verdict is based on the actions taken by this judge and Kyle Rittenhouse. To be more precise, we can get twofold understanding from the Zimmerman-style verdicts. It is one to inform the future and current Kyle Rittenhouses that white vigilantism can be practiced and they will be allowed off, be protected and defended, and perpetuate white supremacy. All of us, regardless of our background or color, who want to stop that white supremacy from taking root are in danger. That’s the message I am getting. Tears or no tears.
MSNBC was not amused by Rittenhouse’s extreme rhetoric, but the host of MSNBC repeatedly whitewashed the rioters trying to torch Kenosha.
“[T]The jury found Kyle Rittenhouse guilty of shooting two people, killing one and injuring another person during a shootout. that racial justice demonstrations in Kenosha, Wisconsin, last year,” She began the program by saying.
While talking to Cunningham, Jackson again sympathized with violent rioters rioting over Jacob Blake as the victims in all of this: “And you make the point, and I know you’ve made it, Brittany, that the only reason why Kyle Rittenhouse,These racial protests are only possible because of racial justice demonstrations were happening in the first place is because of what happened to Jacob Blake.”
Yes MSNBC will support rioters after police shot Jacob Blake. Blake pulled out a knife upon them, having been tased to avoid arrest on a charge of domestic violence.
The BLM activist and MSNBCer agreed that white people’s culture of white supremacy disregarding black people was what this case was really about:
If the police hadn’t once more shown their disregard for black people, Kyle Rittenhouse wouldn’t have had his entitlement to get that AR-15. Jacob Blake’s shooting was the sole reason that these protests occurred. Kyle Rittenhouse was not allowed in that vehicle. The long term of many Americans, especially Americans of colour and black Americans who are still being disrespected, shot, sometimes even killed by law enforcement.
The rhetoric got even more heated just a few hours later as Packnett-Cunningham returned for The Beat with Ari Melber, but this time, she appeared alongside fellow race-baiter Brittney Cooper, a MSNBC regular and Rutgers University professor. Recently, Cooper gleefully called for “taking out” all white people and celebrated the idea of their race’s demise. But instead of being barred from the media, she’s invited back on MSNBC to talk about of all things, racism and terrorism.
This time, Packnett-Cunningham really went off the rails, comparing Rittenhouse to the KKK, saying he was engaging in white terrorism by going to Kenosha to protect a business and deliver aid:
I see a lot of white supremacy-loving people today using self-defense as a cover. You’re right, self defense on its face is not white supremacy. You can’t intimidate anyone by traveling cross-state with your AR-15. This is white supremacy. This is what we know. He went there to support dignity of life for blacks and his allies. After expressing concern, he grabbed an assault rifle and two people were killed. One person is now permanently disabled. Let’s not forget. It’s not property loss. This is death and dismemberment. White domestic terrorist is something that black people, and anyone who knows American history know. Its role is to intimidate.
When it was the professor’s turn to talk, she sneered at the “white boy” who “terrorized people that were actually, you know, using their constitutional right to protest.” Forgetting what century she was in, she condemned whites to having to choose which side of the Civil War they’d be on:
“This is also white America’s reckoning with which version of whiteness is it going to choose, is it going to choose to be in the legacy of the confederacy that is about oppressing people, or is it going to choose whiteness in the legacy of the Union,” she demanded.
Cooper was really drawn into racist extremist language and told their viewers to be afraid of being murdered by white supremacists. “If you are on the side of black life, on the side of people of color, on the side of a narrative of American progress, and more inclusive democracy, then your life is expendable.”
Because MSNBC can’t stop lying about this trial, Cooper kept up the deception by brazenly lying about Rittenhouse’s defense:
We were informed today that self-defense by whites is superior to all other senses of safety and protection on the streets. This was true even if white people are carrying guns and are not under threat. Kyle Rittenhouse also admitted this. He didn’t feel threatened. He wasn’t afraid of the threat. He went there to intimidate, and was granted permission to do so.
The other guest supported her lies. “All of us are being subjugated to the defense of white supremacy and Kyle Rittenhouse’s feelings,” She laughed.

BRITTANY PACKNETT CUNNINGHAM: You know, I don’t really actually think whether or not the tears were legitimate or not. It is not about whether they were meaningful. One person was killed and two more were injured. A whole community was attacked. It doesn’t matter if the individual who pulled the trigger shed some tears later, that is beside the point. But it should not dominate the discussion. Because ultimately we are in a situation where deciphering whether somebody is actually crying is distracting our attention from the level of terror this country is experiencing. The act of getting on a bus to Kenosha to defend property and then picking up an AR-15 is terrorizing others into a particular social order.
We have drawn two conclusions from this specific verdict: the actions by the judge and the actions by Kyle Rittenhouse.
HALLIE JACKSON: And you make the point, and I know you’ve made it, Brittany, that the only reason why Kyle Rittenhouse,These racial protests are only possible because of racial justice demonstrations Jacob Blake was the one who caused all of these things to happen.
PACKNETT-CUNNINGHAM: That’s right. The defenders Kyle Rittenhouse are constantly talking about self-defense.However, Kyle Rittenhouse would have not been entitled to the AR-15 if police had not again shown a disregard for black lives. Jacob Blake’s shooting was the sole reason that these protests occurred. Kyle Rittenhouse was not allowed in that vehicle. A long-term series of Americans including Americans of color, black Americans continue to be disregarded and even shot by police. We want to continue talking about symptoms and not the root cause. Talking about the causes would put a whole culture of white supremacy and white privilege, from which it is derived, under trial. Therefore, they are more inclined to stand for Kyle Rittenhouse rather than oppose things that make their uncomfortable.

MSNBC’sAri Melber’s The Beat
11/19/21
Eastern, 6:08 PMARI MELBER [W]Protests by people who exercise constitutional rights are met with violence in Kenosha. It would be easy to see that today’s acquittal is a sign of this violence. Rittenhouse’s gun killed two people. They won’t be coming back. Their victims’ families are speaking out today after the verdict. Tonight is the new test with this ruling, which permits this type of vigilanteism in these murders. This is one of the places where these problems are being tested. Juries made up of peer juries are instructed that there are legal processes to make sure we follow jury decisions. These are not the only places to do this. We have been living through a reassessment of recent history, with some people saying it’s always been this way, it’s time to change. Some people say that it’s fine, nothing is wrong. Others, however, see data and other evidence during BLM summer protests and decide to look at facts, or listen to and learn.
Listening and learning is only the beginning. These consequences are being felt by people at a moment when extremism, political violence, and racism are more visible than ever, and even more so, in an open world.

PACKNETT CUNNINGHAM – Oh my God, I don’t know where to start. It is clear that co-signing the notion this was self defence was done by design.
The judge was very clear about how he was going to set it up. I see a lot of white supremacy-loving people today using self defense as a cover. You’re right, self defense on its face is not white supremacy. You can’t intimidate anyone by traveling cross-state with your AR-15. This is white supremacy. This is what we know. He went there to support dignity of life for blacks and his allies. Because he took issue with that, he decided to grab an assault rifle, and now two people are dead, one is permanently disabled. Let’s not forget. It’s not damage to property. This is death and dismemberment. White domestic terrorist is something that black people, and anyone who knows American history know. Its role is to intimidate. When Klu Klux Klanners burned crosses, it wasn’t to keep warm, it was to intimidate everyone who saw the flames mild away, when white armed men marched in Charlottesville, it was not a family reunion, it was to strike fear in the hearts of anybody that wouldn’t bend to their dominance. Kyle Rittenhouse was, in fact, the aggressor. Do not mistake the actions of the officers who let Rittenhouse pass with his AR-15 in their hands, they were trying to convey to us what co-signing self defense is. You can’t deny what the judge meant when he laughed at any notion of fairness and lack of bias within that courtroom. It’s all about ensuring that white supremacy continues to terrorize, intimidate and control the rest of us.
COOPER: My rage and anger today is almost unbearable. It’s amazing to me how brazenly hypocritical we can be in defense of the law. We live in a country that said slavery and lynching that said segregation was legal. Today, we are asked to affirm that the act is legal. We also need to respect the law. A white boy, who was deputized by his parents, took off and terrorized those protesting their constitutional rights. This is not the only thing we need to know. White America must decide which kind of whiteness it will choose. Is it going with the legacy confederacy, that oppresses people? Or is it going for whiteness in its legacy of union? You could say that there are higher principles than the notion of subjugating people. People say it’s not about racism that the victims are black, but no. White supremacy has always had white victims.
Allies of white… It’s a way of disciplining white allies. Your life will be worthless if you’re on the side for black people, the side for the rights of the marginalized, the side that promotes American progress and inclusion. As a nation, we should be concerned. …We were informed today that self-defense by white people is superior to protection and safety in public places, even if they carry guns and are not under threat. Kyle Rittenhouse also admitted this. He was not afraid. He wasn’t afraid of the threat. He went there to intimidate, and was granted permission to do so.

PACKNETT-CUNNINGHAM: I mean, I just think what Dr. Cooper is saying is so critically important. All of us are being subjugated to defense of white supremacy and Kyle Rittenhouse’s feelings. We spoke endlessly about Rittenhouse’s tears. Today’s tears will be discussed more. We will talk more about today’s tears..
