The media’s desperation for cleaning up the Biden record is reaching a hysterical level.
The press complex is making strenuous efforts to recalibrate the economy. This will help avoid Joe Biden being forced into a prolonged recession. The Democrats are not obliged to fealt Joe. This is a desire to provide more benefits to them. Before we go further, let us understand – the need to dress up the economy is being done with an eye on the coming midterms. Biden is an anchor for candidates so any boost to his image that it doesn’t sink by November is needed.
Everything depends on the economy, regardless of what is promoted as being beneficial. If they are able to stop the recession talk, then maybe the next GDP report before the midterms will show a slight increase, which would give the media the claim that the economy is improving just prior to the election. Although it is unlikely, today’s desperation is the perfect setting for a miracle play. It is the tactic used that makes it amusing.
The initial narrative comes from Brian Deese, Biden’s hack of an economic advisor. As you might recall, Deese was vehemently trying to sell us. his low-octane gas lightingThere has been a lot of discussion about gasoline prices over the past few months. Deese was out on Monday ahead of the release of the GDP numbers, with his insistence that the traditional measure of a recession – two consecutive quarters of negative growth – is not an accurate measure.
This was initially ridiculed as indolent thinking. Except in the media. Many people in the media followed the White House’s script to question the traditional definition of recession. Journalists have another option, and that’s also taken directly from the administration. Deese, recall, The practitioner of the measurement of success wasBy removing the most problematic data elements, metrics could then be declared to have good indicators. He stated that the fall food price was not high, as long as it did not include expensive meats.
It is a dumb approach to reality, but it is what is expected of spin merchants in a desperate government. But few Americans listen to the sales pitches of Inflation isn’t so bad if you don’t include gas and food pricesThis is what media workers are doing. This is the same tactic used by the media to try and hide the economic state of affairs.
We see journalists repeatedly approaching problems with the idea that significant figures should be erased from the beginning. Josh Boak attempted to dress up the economy in a very infantile manner; just don’t include inflation, and the economy is actually in good shape! Yes, seriously.

We are witnessing this absurd idea being applied not only to economic factors but also the Biden government in general. Imagine a moment when the Republican President, or any GOP politician, was defended by the media with the notion that it is possible to eliminate the issues of their tenure in office and that this would make the administration a success. Van Jones at CNN wants you to basically eliminate one-third of Joe Biden’s brief tenure to this stage, and you actually have something close to a success story.

Michael Shear of the New York Times took a somewhat different, though just as desperate, approach. In a long piece, he took pains to emphasize the accomplishments of the Biden administration while dismissing some very serious problems in an inexplicable manner. He quotes David Axelrod proclaiming Biden has been “A record number of historical wins was achieved” and also shows how Biden’s people are eager to quell voter dissatisfaction.
They argue that Mr. Biden’s accomplishments are sometimes not appreciated. They point to the crush of negative news coverage that he received as gas prices were rising rapidly and the comparatively smaller amount of coverage as gas prices have fallen after his decision to release a record amount of oil from the nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
It seems so unfair; if only more people understood how great they have it today – and more were reading administration spin merchants, like Josh Boak and Michael Shear. It is evident that there is a desperate attempt to change reality to increase election prospects. What is the real entertainment? The real amusement?
Midterm cycles since ‘06 have certain rhythm: 1) Maybe POTUS’ party’ll avoid losses. 2) The weather looks great for the party. Things are looking really good for our party. 4) Hold on, maybe POTUS’ party won’t lose as many seats as thought. 5) Could POTUS’ party avoid wipeout? 6) WIPEOUT.
