Novak Djokovic has a strange situation.
The current Wimbledon champion has been denied entry to the U.S. Open because of his status as a vaccine recipient. This despite the fact the tournament does not have any rules regarding vaccination status. The U.S. insists that anyone who has not been vaccinated is prohibited from entering the country.

John McEnroe, an American tennis star and legend thinks this is absurd. At an LAFC event, McEnroe stated that each individual decides whether to get vaccinated and that it is not necessary for any country-wide bans.
“I think it’s B.S.,” McEnroe said. “I think he should be allowed to play. That’s up to the individual. He’s perfectly entitled to make that decision.”
Djokovic said further that an elite athlete such as Djokovic cares about his health and is in top form, so his current vaccination status should be irrelevant.
“It’s frustrating to see at this point … he’s not allowed into the country because he’s not vaccinated,” McEnroe said. “That’s the rules that we have right now, I don’t agree with it.”
You’re not the only one who feels that way, McEnroe.
