Joe Biden gave his first interview since a few months. However, it took place within the safe confines ABC News. As per our usual arrangement, he had some senile moments, confusing COVID tests and “pills” multiple times. Also, he provided a bizarre answer regarding his ability to race in 2024. This probably indicated that he was not really trying to be a bit more than he intended.
Then there was this revealing exchange where Biden is asked about Kamala Harris’ claim that no one in the administration saw the Delta and Omicron variants of the coronavirus coming. It says a lot about the president’s true location.

First of all, has Biden taken lessons from Harris in how to act awkwardly and inappropriately when being asked serious questions? Second, his response is outright false. There was a possibility that another version could emerge, and many people recognized this fact including his own CDC. He is recalling the same lies about Afghanistan that he used to tell, where he claimed no of his advisors foresaw the Taliban taking over.
It’s one of Biden’s weird ticks that anytime he’s trapped in a failure of his own making, he reverts to insisting that no one else could have done better or foreseen what he didn’t foresee. It’s nonsense, but it’s also not persuasive at all. The president is elected not to excuse himself from being behind the times, but to stay ahead.
What this all illustrates to me is that Biden is so far in over his head that he can’t see the surface anymore. It’s been said before, but this is why American voters should be very skeptical of ever putting a senator into the office of the presidency. They lack both the executive skills and mental ability to do the job. The role of senator has no relation to the office of president. Then you sit down, let your staffers create garbage legislation, then vote. You are then allowed to go public and tell the camera that you have saved the world, even though you only work 175 days each year.
While skill can be useful in certain jobs, it is not necessary for leadership roles that call for tactical maneuvers. That was never Biden’s purview, though. Instead, Biden was the dumb idiot senator who tried to appear more important than his actual status.
That man now holds the presidency. His inability to carry out the duties of office is evident. He can’t do an interview without stepping all over himself. Biden’s policies are failing, and despite every advantage he has been given by Trump, which includes multiple vaccines. He also failed to succeed on COVID. His talk of running for the presidency again in 2024 seems absurd.
