Biden Announces Travel Ban That Blows up His Own Prior Words and Those of Fauci – Opinion

I reported earlier today on the announcement about the new COVID variant out of South Africa that immediately had some freaking out because it was supposedly “heavily mutated” and that the spike protein was “dramatically different.” That raised questions about whether immunity and the vaccines would be protective against it. There were also suggestions that it was “highly contagious among young people.” So, it seemed obvious they were gearing up to go crazy over this again.

Then we reported on Dr. Anthony Fauci claiming they needed more time and information to decide on whether they needed to be talking about travel bans, that they wouldn’t be implementing a travel ban yet.

NY Post

“There is always the possibility of doing what the UK has done, namely block travel from South Africa and related countries,” Fauci said in a CNN interview.

“That’s certainly something you think about and get prepared to do. You’re prepared to do everything you need to protect the American public. But you want to make sure there’s a basis for doing that.”

Fauci added in that interview: “Obviously as soon as we find out more information we’ll make a decision as quickly as we possibly can.”

Then within hours of Fauci’s comments on television, the Biden Administration has now announced there would be a ban, which contradicted what Fauci had just said.

Biden said he did it on the recommendation of Fauci to him earlier in the day — before Fauci’s appearance on CNN. Biden claimed he was doing it on the advice of Fauci, yet Fauci then appears on television and says they’re not going to do it yet?

Just who is running this clown show, when the left hand doesn’t seem to know what the right hand is doing? Fauci may have told Biden this, but then went on CNN to say something completely different. This shows how easy it is for Fauci to lie.

Biden, however, stated that while announcing that there will be a ban on marijuana, they wouldn’t be implementing it today and would wait until Monday. Why? Cutting travel early on is one of the few things that actually could do something to cut the spread, assuming it isn’t all over the place, to begin with. It makes no sense to wait. It makes no sense. It’s the one simple, logical thing you should do.

Biden’s team is not only chaotic, they must also be eating all their pre-recorded words.

Did you recall when Donald Trump ban travel to Europe and China? Biden claimed that the Trump Administration was xenophobic and wasn’t an effective approach to slowing the virus.

Oh, really? So why is this ban being implemented now? And banning from African nations surely sounds racist, doesn’t it?

Apparently, it’s bad when Trump did it, but now it’s good when Biden does it. Do we need to add anything else?

It all comes together in this picture:

They need to hear from South Africa’s Minister of Health before we continue down this primrose-based path. He says there’s no evidence that it evades the current vaccines.

But trust the Democrats — they’re gearing up to go crazy with restrictions yet again.
