ABC Pushes Families of Rittenhouse’s ‘Victims’ to Sue Him in Civil Court

Do they seem like sore losers Maybe, but either way, ABC spent part of Sunday’s Good Morning America hoping that the families of Kyle Rittenhouse’s so-called “victims” would sue him in civil court. After the teenager was found innocent, he used legal self defense against several violent attackers who were rioting. In addition to this, the network denounced the entire justice system. This WeekIn the hour to follow.

After reviewing the ongoing murder trial of Ahmaud Arbery with chief legal analyst Dan Abrams, co-anchor Whit Johnson lamented that Rittenhouse was “found not guilty on all charges in the shooting deaths of two men during a protest in Wisconsin.” He wondered, “But what happens next now,” and “Are there civil cases possible?

Abrams seemed hopeful that “there could be.” Adding:

Some of these may be available. The victims sue Kyle Rittenhouse. Remember,A civil case has a lower legal standard than a criminal one. In the context of the case, I spoke repeatedly about how difficult it was for prosecutors not to override self-defense beyond any reasonable doubt. It must be negligence in civil cases. Just prove that it is likely..

He did not mention that the jury found him innocent, and that he was acting legally to defend himself, there were very few chances of civil suits being won. The ruling also burst the bubble of attacker Gaige Grosskreutz who’s suing the city for $10 million.

Johnson was nevertheless warned by Abrams about Rittenhouse’s legal rights to sue journalists and other media for libel, slander and similar offenses.

The flipside of the coin is that Kyle Rittenhouse could sue people for saying things about him that were not accurate. As a result, you might see activity in civil courts.

It was The adviceNicholas Sandmann was a high school student from Covington and gave his support to Rittenhouse.

Rittenhouse was the first topic for journalists to discuss. This WeekByron Pitts, the chief national correspondent of Martha Raddatz was appointed fill-in host to denounce all aspects of the legal system for being racist. “[I]This trial is free. The case involved all white men. Rittenhouse was one of the victims. However, this case intensified debates over racial justice.,” she said.

Pitts agreed, declaring: “[T]This is absolutely the truth. It’s not an argument, but a hard, cold reality for most people. In America, one justice system exists if you’re wealthy and white. There’s another if you are poor and a person of color.”

Further proclaiming: “So, I believe this is true for the majority of reasonable people. This is a fact that most surveys will confirm. Only a few people with common sense would think that a black 17-year old boy carrying an AR-15 might be able to believe this.At night in Kenosha (Wisconsin), he killed 2 people and left a 3rd one injured. The police and the legal system would have treated that black boy the same.

It is interesting to note that Rittenhouse was not found guilty of the crime on the exact same day as Andrew Coffee IV. Andrew Coffee IV is a Florida-based black man. In This is the case, Coffee shot at Sheriff’s deputies during a SWAT raid on his home where he was asleep when the deputies announced themselves and arrested his father. Coffee opened fire to defend himself, and his girlfriend was also killed when deputies attacked his bedroom window. Coffee pleaded self defense and was found not guilty by the jury.

In the meantime, liberal media ignored that fact.

ABC’s urging for civil suits against Rittenhouse was made possible because of lucrative sponsorships from Ancestry Abbott. This link will take you to their contact information so that you can inform them about biased news funding.

WHIT JOHNSON What happens now, after last year? Are there civil cases possible?

DAN ABRAMS : Yes, it could. It is possible that some victims will decide to sue Kyle Rittenhouse. The legal standard for civil cases is much lower than that in criminal cases. In the context of the case, I talked about the difficulty for prosecutors in overcoming self-defense beyond any reasonable doubt. In civil cases, negligence is sufficient. Just prove that it’s likely.

The flipside of the coin is that Kyle Rittenhouse could sue people for saying things about him that were not accurate. As a result, you might see activity in civil courts.

JOHNSON: It’s all right. There is much to see ahead.

MARTHA RADDATZ : Byron was the only white defendant in this case. Rittenhouse were the two men who perished, but this case only intensified the discussion about racial justice, and the system.

BYRON PITTS – Martha, it’s true. For many, this is not an argument, but a hard truth. In America there is only one justice system. It doesn’t matter if your are wealthy or white. One justice system applies if you are wealthy and white. Another one applies if your situation is poor and of color. Studies after studies show that black men are more likely to be arrested, convicted, and sentencing is longer than for whites accused of similar crimes. This also holds true regarding discipline at schools.

Martha, this is a study that I believe speaks to this case. According to FBI data, fatal shootings where shooter is black and victim is brown are three times more likely to result in a ruling that the case is justified if the other party is white.

So I believe, for the most part, that most people with reasonable beliefs, as well as most surveys, would agree that an AR-15-wielding black teenager from Africa would be treated in the same manner by law enforcement and police.
