Watch Democrats Warn World Will End Without Green New Deal — Days Before Not Voting for It

“Green New Deal? I’m in all the way.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell shared a video Wednesday mocking Democrats for voting “present” during a vote on the Green New Deal.

In the video, Democratic senators can be seen praising Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal, yet none of the Democrats were as enthusiastic during the Senate’s Tuesday vote on the proposal.

Not a single Democrat voted in favor of the plan. All 53 Republican Senators voted “no.” They were joined by Democratic Senators Doug Jones of Alabama, Joe Manchin of West Virginia, and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona. 43 Democratic Senators voted “present.”  Sen. Angus King of Maine, an Independent who caucuses with Democrats, voted “no.”

“Now!” the enraptured audience answers.

2020 Democratic presidential candidates Corey Booker, Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Kirstin Gillibrand, and Elizabeth Warren also make cameos in the video.

“Green New Deal? I’m in all the way,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren says at one point.

McConnell made good on his promise to bring the ambitious and controversial proposal to a vote on the Senate floor, hoping to put Democrats on the reocrd as supporting the expensive and radical policy plan, something critics have argued does little to actually combat climate change.

Without any Democratic support, the proposal was rejected 57-0.
