Kid Rock Says ‘Democrat’ Taylor Swift Will ‘Suck the Door Knob Off Hollyweird’ to Be in Movies

Kick Rock appears to be fed up with Taylor Swift’s newfound attitude toward political activism — attributing her liberal views to a desire to “be in movies.”

Swift, 29, was once known for staying out of politics. But that appears to have changed.

The singer described in a Vogue interview published Thursday that she plans to be clearer about her political stances, especially in regard to LGBTQ issues. According to the country star-turned-pop sensation, “rights are being stripped from basically everyone who isn’t a straight white cisgender male” in America today.

Swift told Vogue’s Abby Aguirre that while she’s held progressive beliefs for a long time, she didn’t know she could express them.

“I didn’t realize until recently that I could advocate for a community that I’m not a part of,” she said.

Seemingly in response to the Vogue piece, Rock took to Twitter on Friday and slammed Swift.

“Taylor Swift wants to be a democrat because she wants to be in movies….period,” Rock tweeted. “And it looks like she will suck the door knob off Hollyweird to get there.”

Taylor Swift and Hollywood’s partisan battle

It’s no secret that most celebrities tend to lean left. Conservative musicians and actors such as Rock and James Woods are the rare exception among their peers.

For many on the right, Hollywood has become synonymous with out-of-touch liberal ideology. And some celebrities do little to dissuade such a point of view.

“You Trumpsters better pray that liberals never gain control of the WH again,” Lee warned before revealing his desire to torture religious leaders, melt all the guns in America and paint Air Force One “pussy hat pink.”
