Biden reelect Trump gaffe

‘Sleepy Joe’ Biden Gaffs So Hard He Accidentally Admits ‘We Can Only Reelect Donald Trump’

Joe Biden continued to stumble over his words at a rally Saturday in Kansas City, Missouri, at one point coming dangerously close to accidentally conceding the 2020 election to President Donald Trump.

Reading off a teleprompter, the former vice president attempted to convey the message that Democrats need to rally around his newly resurgent campaign to have any hope of defeating Trump in November.

“You want a nominee that will bring this party together, who will run a progressive, positive campaign, and turn this primary from a campaign that’s about negative attacks into one about what we’re for because we cannot re-elect, we cannot win this reelection, excuse me, we can only reelect Donald Trump if, in fact, we get engaged in this circular firing squad here,” he said.

Within hours, White House social media director Dan Scavino posted footage of the moment to Twitter, invoking Trump’s derogatory nickname for Biden. The clip was cut off after the words “we can only reelect Donald Trump” in an apparent effort to maximize comedic effect.

Scavino’s video quickly went viral, racking up some 3 million views by Sunday morning. Conservatives gleefully mocked Biden’s latest gaffe.

Eric Trump, the president’s younger son, commented: “They are going to start hiding this guy… could you imagine being on his campaign – they must be moritified every time he takes the stage…”

YouTuber Steven Crowder quipped, “Oh c’mon, this is just sad.”

Some commentators on the left expressed dismay, suggesting Biden was not up to challenging Trump in the general election.

Trump thinks the Biden gaffe machine will help reelect him

Earlier in the day while campaigning in St. Louis, Illinois, Biden failed to articulate his own last name, referring to himself as an “OBiden-Bama” Democrat.

Biden’s campaign was until recently on life support thanks in part to concerns that the candidate’s cognitive abilities have waned with age. But Biden, 77, was restored to frontrunner status by a pair of resounding wins: in the Feb. 29 South Carolina primary and then last week on “Super Tuesday.”

However, even as Biden celebrated victories in nine of 14 Super Tuesday contests, he made a series of misstatements, including confusing his sister for his wife.

At a rally of his own on Monday, Trump warned that if Biden were elected president, he would end up getting placed “in a home” while “super-left radical crazies” took charge of “running the country” in his place.

“For sleepy Joe, he doesn’t even know where he is, what he is doing, or what office he is running for,” Trump told supporters in Charlotte, South Carolina.

“It doesn’t matter. Maybe he gets in — because he is a little more moderate — so maybe he gets in, but he’s not going to be running it. Other people are going to,” Trump continued. “They are going to put him into a home, and other people are going to be running the country, and they are going to be super-left radical crazies.”

He added, “Joe is going to be in a home. He’ll be watching television. Everything will be just fine.”
